Towel Holders for Washbasins

As already mentioned, towel bars are most commonly found at the washbasin, but towel rings and towel hooks are also used. When it comes to bars, you can choose between swivel and fixed models. Some are vertical and others are mounted parallel to the wall. Some of these towel bars are retractable. There are also one and two-armed bars.

It's up to you to decide which version works best for you. It also depends on how much space you have available next to the washbasin. Foldable towel bars are extremely practical in small bathrooms. If you want to hang up more than just a towel, you should consider a two-armed bar. Towel rings also look very elegant. Towel hooks offer a more inconspicuous solution.

Drill-Free Towel Holders

Heating

You'll find a range of bathroom radiators with towel holders in our store. The benefits are obvious. Who doesn't love a soft, warm towel after a shower? Small children do at any rate. The towel also dries quicker after use.

Often a towel bar only fits a special radiator, but there are also towel bars for conventional radiator models. They are simply hung into these. Some bathroom radiators are not much more than heatable towel rails. They are electric and serve to warm towels.

Stainless Steel or Chrome

Towel holders are often made from plastic, although they look far more elegant in stainless steel or chrome-plated aluminium. These materials not only look great in the bathroom; they are also more durable than plastic holders. Although stainless steel or chrome towel rails are a little more expensive, the investment is worth it.

What Height to Mount It?

Want to know what height to mount your towel holder? That is entirely up to you. If it is going to be mounted next to the washbasin, we recommend mounting it at a similar height. Or slightly lower. Washbasins are usually mounted at a height of 85 cm (top edge of the washbasin), and towel holders at around 80 cm.

The towel rail should be mounted higher if placed next to the shower so that longer towels can be hung there. You want to be able to easily reach a towel. If you are two-metres tall, mount it higher, if you're 1.60 metres, then mount it lower.
