About OLIGO
The OLIGO company was founded in 1987 by Ralf Keferstein. The company's success was founded on the innovative halogen cable system of the 1980s. In the meantime, however, the manufacturer already makes more than 50 percent of its turnover with modern LED technology.
OLIGO manufactures its designer luminaires with around 200 employees at various locations in Germany. The headquarters is in Hennef near Bonn. All lamps can boast the "Made in Germany" seal of quality. As a result, the company makes a turnover of around 20 million euros a year.
In addition to residential lamps, Oligo has another mainstay. In 2012, the manufacturer merged with the visual surface inspection specialist Uwe Braun GmbH. Since then, state-of-the-art control optics have been part of the company's portfolio.
Not luxury - but premium
As a luminaire manufacturer, OLIGO does not see itself in the luxury segment - premium is the motto. This means that the company offers quality products suitable for everyday use at market prices. So says the managing director. Moreover, it is part of the company's self-image to be satisfied only with the best.
The highest perfection in manufacturing and extremely careful quality controls at all stages of production ensure that every OLIGO lamp functions reliably and safely - even after many years of use. It is not without reason that the designer luminaires from this company have an excellent reputation - among customers and experts.
High-quality design is also on offer. You can see it on every designer luminaire, on every lighting system: this supplier relies on innovation, creativity and a sure sense of style - with great success. It is not without reason that the designer luminaires and systems of this manufacturer have already received numerous awards, including several IF design prizes and red dot awards.
One of the favourites in the range is the Grace series, designed by company founder Ralf Keferstein. Originally equipped with halogen bulbs, the lamps have long been available with energy-saving LEDs.
