The manufacturer Roca was founded in 1917 in Gavà near Barcelona. It all started with cast-iron radiators, followed later by cast-iron baths. Sanitary ceramics have been available since 1936, which is what made the company famous.
In the 1960s, the company already attached great importance to the design of its washbasins, toilets and bidets. Roca worked with renowned designers and architects such as David Chipperfield, Giorgetto Giugiaro and Herzog & De Meuron.
This gave the company quite a boost and consequently Roca expanded internationally in the 1970s. Today, the company is represented in over 170 countries and has almost 80 production sites.
Roca: Quality and design are in demand worldwide
