SLAMP luminaires are made of specially developed and patented plastics such as Opalflex® or Lentiflex®. Opalflex® consists of a mixture of glass crystals and technopolymer, which gives the lamps the brightness of glass. The material is also unbreakable and versatile. Lentiflex® is created by superimposing two layers so that the material changes its colour and appearance depending on the point of observation.
The company SLAMP was founded in 1994 by the Italian Roberto Ziliani. His goal was and is to combine traditional craftsmanship with innovative materials. He has succeeded in this with his luminaires. The secret of success also lies in the cooperation with numerous top-class designers. SLAMP luminaires are real design products and always good for one or the other spectacular light effect.
The luminaires by SLAMP are handmade in the studio in Rome. The design is created in collaboration with Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Alessandro Mendini and numerous other well-known names from the design scene.
