Zehnder GmbH belongs to the Swiss group of companies of the same name. The traditional company was founded as early as 1895, but it was not until 1930 that the product that made the company great was created - at that time, Europe's tubular steel radiator was launched on the market. Before that, the manufacturer was famous for its lightweight motorbike, for example. It served to motorise the little man.
Zehnder is now far removed from motorbikes - instead, it is high-quality designer and towel radiators that are making a name for the manufacturer. The Zehnder Group portfolio also includes comfortable room ventilation systems, heating and cooling ceiling systems and air purification systems. The company is therefore particularly focused on a good indoor climate.
Design and function in perfect harmony
While the first steel radiators were still rather clunky, a lot has changed in terms of design since then. A milestone here was the single-column radiator, which came onto the market in 1967. It was not only intended to heat the room, but also contributed to the room's design.
This is even more true today. All designer radiators and towel radiators impress not only with their inner values, but also with their outer values. This is also evident in the collaboration with renowned designers and the cooperation with Villeroy & Boch.
At the beginning of the 1980s, Zehnder revolutionised the heating market once again - the company introduced the first towel radiators. Many other manufacturers soon emulated this type of radiator. Today, there is hardly a manufacturer of bathroom radiators that does not also have towel radiators in its range.
